ALASKA PUBLIC LANDS INFORMATION CENTER
Enjoy one-stop shopping for public lands information, trip planning assistance, and resource education.
Whether you’re looking for a hiking trail, public use cabin, or the best berry picking spot, Alaska Public Lands Information (APLIC) rangers can point you in the right direction. Get trip planning advice and find the tools you need for an unforgettable excursion. Watch a free film on Alaska’s national parks, natural resources, culture, and history. Stamp your National Park passport, earn a Junior Ranger badge, or attend a ranger program. Field trips are available by request.
EXHIBITS
Explore family friendly exhibits that showcase our region’s natural and cultural resources.
Permanent exhibits focus on the fundamental relationship between people and the environment showing the wildlife, landscapes, and seasonal changes unique to Interior Alaska. Life size dioramas, interactive displays, art, clothing, tools and cultural objects are on hand to be explored. Temporary and online exhibits are designed around themes that educate, challenge, and inspire. Inside these exhibits visitors will hear the voices and can learn the stories of the diverse communities and peoples who call Interior Alaska home. Come and explore the many cultural and environmental exhibits, both permanent and rotating, any day of the week.

ALASKA NATIVE GIFT SHOP
Bring home a beautiful piece of artwork made by Alaska Native Elders.
The gift shop offers a wide selection of Alaska Native handcrafts made by Denakkanaaga Elders and Tanana Chiefs Conference (TCC) region artists. You’ll find moose hide slippers, beadwork, carvings, birch bark baskets, jewelry and much more. All items in the gift shop are purchased directly from the artists, creating a unique opportunity for rural makers to share their creations with visitors from all over the world.
