The Morris Thompson Cultural and Visitors Center welcomes visitors year-round and admission is always free. Whether you’re on the trip of a lifetime or preparing for this weekend’s hike, we have information and ideas for your travel in Interior and Arctic Alaska.

Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day

I really enjoyed the potlatch display. It is really authentic, down to the type of modern blanket that is now used and the kerchiefs, and the various modern life displays on rural Alaska. They felt just like home to me. Like MY entry way and freezer, and the stuff we take out in OUR canoe. It shows real respect for both the past and, more importantly, the Alaskan present.
